Follow everything below step by step from beginning to end
KC will have exactly what is necessary for your Mixing & Mastering
*If you are not familiar with some of the technical aspects of the file delivery, please do a Google search of your DAW and the specification you are not familiar with; you will probably find a nice and easy answer. You may reach out to KC with questions regarding the specs, but some preliminary searching before will more than likely lead to your answer without having to spend time communicating.
File format: .Wav or .Aiff
Sample rate: Keep it at the source sample rate (44.1 - 192kHz)
Bit Rate: 24 bits or higher
1. Before starting at the export of all the separated channels, first export your own mix (or master) and include it in the zip. KC will use this as a reference.
2. Take a good look at all the individual channels, make sure to remove all unnecessary EQ’s or compressors.
Keep all the plugins that you’ve used to design the individual sound turned ON.
Bypass all the plugins that you’ve used to mix the track.
3. Label all the channels so it makes sense.
4. Make sure that the levels on all the channels are safe (below -1 dBFS, TruePeak)
5. Export all the individual channels. Make sure to include automation in the export and turn off normalization.
6. If there are vocals in the song, export an extra copy of the untuned vocals as well
7. ZIP or RAR all the files per song and email them to Contact@kconthemix.com
KC will check the files when they arrive and let you know if everything is okay. It could happen that, while processing, we discover something for which we need a different file. KC will always contact you to discuss this.
